Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. People managing a long-term condition are more likely, not less, to be using assistive technology — so accessibility here is a functional requirement rather than a formality.

What has been implemented

• Semantic HTML with a single, logical heading structure per page
• A skip link as the first focusable element on every page
• Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator that is never removed
• Text contrast meeting or exceeding AA, verified during design; colours unsuitable for body text are restricted to decorative use
• Meaning never conveyed by colour alone — emergency and status notices always carry an icon and an explicit text label
• Form inputs with real associated labels, errors announced to assistive technology, and focus moved to the first invalid field
• Touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels, exceeding the AA minimum
• Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion setting
• Text that reflows without loss of content down to 320px
• Accessible names on all interactive controls

Known limitations

Stated plainly rather than omitted:

• This site has been checked with automated tooling and manual keyboard testing. It has not yet been audited by a third party, nor tested end-to-end with users of screen readers. Until that has happened, conformance should be treated as intended rather than verified.
• Any external scheduling or clinical platform reached from this site is operated by another organisation, and its accessibility is not within our control.
• The site is currently offered in English only.
