Medical Weight Management
Personalized Medical Weight Management, Designed Around You
Explore clinician-guided weight management with personalized treatment plans, lifestyle support, and evaluation for prescription treatment when medically appropriate.
Virtual visits by secure video. Availability of virtual services depends on your location, clinical needs, and applicable licensing requirements.
Why Clinician-Guided Care
Weight is a medical topic, not a willpower test. A nurse practitioner can look at the whole picture with you.
A Plan Built for You
Your history, health conditions, medications and goals shape the plan, rather than a one-size-fits-all program.
Medical Oversight
Options, including prescription treatment, are considered only after an evaluation and reviewed for safety along the way.
Practical Lifestyle Support
Realistic guidance on nutrition, activity, sleep and habits that fits your daily life.
Ongoing Follow-Up
Regular check-ins to review progress, answer questions and adjust the plan when needed.
How the Program Works
- 1
Schedule Your Evaluation
Book a virtual visit. Intake forms are completed through our secure scheduling platform, not this website.
- 2
Initial Clinical Evaluation
Review your health history, current medications, prior weight-management efforts and goals. Lab work may be recommended.
- 3
Your Personalized Plan
Together you set a plan that may include nutrition, activity and behavioral strategies, and, if medically appropriate, a prescription option.
- 4
Follow-Up and Monitoring
Follow-up visits track progress, side effects and safety, and adjust the plan over time.
Lifestyle and Behavioral Support
Lasting change usually comes from everyday habits. Visits can include guidance on:
- Nutrition patterns that fit your preferences and budget
- Physical activity matched to your ability and schedule
- Sleep and stress, which both affect weight
- Setting realistic, measurable goals
- Building routines you can keep
Prescription Medication Evaluation, Including GLP-1 Medications
GLP-1-based medications are a class of prescription treatments that may help some adults with weight management when combined with lifestyle changes. They are not right for everyone.
A Clinical Evaluation Comes First
Prescription treatment requires an evaluation of your health history, current medications and goals. A visit does not guarantee a prescription.
Not Appropriate for Every Patient
Some health conditions, medications and personal or family histories make these medications unsuitable. Your nurse practitioner will explain whether a medication is a reasonable option for you.
Eligibility and Availability Vary
Medication eligibility, insurance coverage and pharmacy availability differ from person to person and can change over time.
Follow-Up and Monitoring
Treatment usually involves regular follow-up to monitor progress, side effects and safety, and may include lab work.
Medication Costs Are Separate
Medication and pharmacy charges are not included in consultation fees and vary by medication, pharmacy and coverage.
Pharmacy and Shipping
Where permitted, prescriptions may be filled by appropriately licensed pharmacies, some of which offer shipping. Availability depends on your location and the medication.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same as FDA-approved products. If a compounded option is ever discussed, your nurse practitioner will explain the difference.

Weight Management FAQs
Will I get a prescription for a GLP-1 medication?
Not necessarily. A prescription is considered only after a clinical evaluation, and only when it is medically appropriate and safe for you. Many plans focus on lifestyle and behavioral changes.
Are medications included in the visit fee?
No. Consultation fees cover the visit only. Medications, pharmacy charges and laboratory testing are separate.
Do I need lab work?
Lab work may be recommended to help evaluate your health and guide safe treatment. Your nurse practitioner will explain what is needed and why.
Is weight management covered by insurance?
Coverage for weight-management visits and medications varies widely by plan. Please verify your benefits with your insurer. See our Fees & Insurance page for current participation status.
Where is the program available?
Virtual visits are available to patients physically located in a state where our nurse practitioner is licensed at the time of the visit. Availability depends on your location, clinical needs and licensing requirements.
Can you guarantee results?
No. Results vary from person to person. The program focuses on safe, realistic progress with medical oversight and regular follow-up.
In an emergency, do not use this website
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use chat, text, email, or voicemail for emergency medical care.
