Fees & Insurance FAQs

  • What does a virtual urgent care visit cost?

A routine virtual urgent care visit is $79 for self-pay patients. Longer or more complex visits cost more; see the fee table above.

  • What is included in an initial consultation?

An initial consultation includes your visit with the nurse practitioner: review of your health history, current concern or goals, and a care plan. It does not include medications, pharmacy charges or lab tests.

  • Are medications included in the consultation fee?

No. Medication and pharmacy charges are separate and depend on the medication, the pharmacy and any coverage you have.

  • Does My Virtual Care NP accept insurance?

See the Insurance Participation section on this page for the current status of each plan. Coverage varies by plan, so please verify your benefits before your visit. Self-pay visits are available.

  • How can I verify my coverage?

Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask whether nurse practitioner telehealth visits with My Virtual Care NP are covered, and what your copay, coinsurance or deductible would be. Our Support team can help.

  • What if my insurance is not accepted?

You can still be seen as a self-pay patient. Ask Support for the price before you book, and ask your insurer whether it reimburses out-of-network visits.

  • Are payment plans available?

Payment plans are not currently offered online. If cost is a concern, please contact Support before your visit to discuss your options.

  • Are laboratory and pharmacy charges separate?

Yes. Lab tests are billed by the laboratory and medications by the pharmacy. These charges are separate from your visit fee.

  • What happens if I need in-person care?

Some concerns need an in-person exam or testing. If yours does, your nurse practitioner will guide you to the right level of care, such as an urgent care center, your primary care clinician or an emergency department. Care elsewhere is billed by that provider.
