Draft — requires legal review before production use

This document is a structured starting point prepared during development. It has not been reviewed by an attorney, does not constitute legal advice, and should be reviewed by qualified counsel — with attention to healthcare-specific obligations — before the site is presented to the public as final.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This policy describes what information this website collects, how it is used, and what it deliberately does not collect.

Scope of this policy

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover any separate clinical platform — scheduling system, patient portal, telehealth service, or electronic health record — that you may reach through a link from here. Those services operate under their own privacy practices and, where applicable, under health privacy law. Review their notices separately.

What this website does not collect

This website is not a clinical system and does not store protected health information. It does not ask for, and you should not submit through it:

  • Diagnoses, medical history, or symptom descriptions
  • Prescriptions, medication lists, or laboratory results
  • Insurance member numbers or Social Security numbers
  • Medical images or clinical records

The contact form warns against including private medical information for this reason. If you send such information anyway, it is handled under the retention limits described below, but it should not be sent through this channel.

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form, the following is recorded:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address, and phone number if you supply one
  • Your preferred contact method
  • Your state, if you select one
  • A broad, non-clinical category for your enquiry
  • Any general message you choose to write

This information is used to respond to you. Contact submissions are scheduled for deletion 180 days after receipt unless an ongoing matter requires otherwise.

Analytics

This website uses its own first-party analytics rather than a third-party advertising or analytics network. It is designed to measure how the site performs without identifying who is using it.

What is recorded:

  • Which pages are viewed, and which buttons are clicked
  • A random session identifier stored only for the life of your browser tab, which is discarded when the tab closes and cannot link one visit to another
  • Campaign parameters in a link you followed, and the hostname of a referring site
  • A coarse device category, and a country if our host supplies one

What is deliberately not recorded:

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser’s user agent string
  • Any device fingerprint
  • The full URL of a referring page — a search engine referrer can carry the query you typed, which on a health website may describe a symptom
  • Any identifier that persists between visits

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, no analytics events are recorded at all.

Advertising and third-party tracking

This website does not use advertising pixels, social media tracking tags, or session-recording tools.

This is a deliberate decision. Pages about diabetes, weight, or urgent symptoms reveal something sensitive about the person reading them, and third-party trackers on such pages can disclose that to advertising networks. Any future change to this would require privacy and legal review first.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies. The session identifier used for analytics is held in your browser’s session storage, not in a cookie, and is removed when you close the tab.

Data security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in a database that is not reachable from the public internet. Access is limited to those who need it to operate the practice.

No system is perfectly secure. This website should not be used to send information you would not want disclosed.

Your choices

To request a copy of information held about you, or to ask for it to be deleted, contact the practice using the details on the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law.

Children

This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
