Questions

Frequently asked questions

Administrative and practical questions about care here. For anything clinical, please raise it in a visit — this page cannot answer questions about your individual health.

Booking an appointment

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

You can request an appointment directly from any “Book an Appointment” button on this website. Scheduling is handled through a secure platform separate from this site, where you will complete any required intake information.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation and rescheduling details are provided when you book, and are handled through the scheduling platform. If you need to change an appointment, please do so as early as you are able so the time can be offered to someone else.

Your visit

  • Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes. Virtual care is central to this practice. Visits take place over secure video, and you can join from wherever you are most comfortable. Availability of virtual services depends on your location, clinical needs, and applicable licensing requirements.

  • What should I have ready for my appointment?

It helps to have a current list of your medications, any recent laboratory results you have access to, and a note of the questions you most want answered. For virtual visits, a quiet space and a reliable internet connection make the visit go more smoothly.

  • Can everything be handled virtually?

No, and you will be told directly when it cannot. Some concerns require a hands-on examination, imaging, or laboratory testing. In those cases you will receive a clear recommendation about where to seek appropriate in-person care.

Services and service area

  • What states do you serve?

Blessing is licensed in Maryland and Virginia. Whether a specific visit can be conducted virtually depends on where you are located at the time of the appointment, your clinical needs, and applicable licensing requirements.

  • What is the difference between urgent care and emergency care?

Urgent care addresses concerns that need prompt attention but are not life-threatening. Emergency care is for severe or life-threatening situations — including chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, or severe bleeding — and requires 911 or an emergency department.

Insurance and payment

  • Do you accept my insurance?

Insurance participation is being finalized. Please contact the practice or your health plan to verify current coverage before your visit.

General

  • Is this website appropriate for an emergency?

No. This website is not monitored for emergencies and cannot be used to obtain urgent help. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

  • How do I contact the office?

You can reach the practice through the contact form on this website. Please do not include private medical information in that form — it is not a secure clinical channel. Clinical questions are best handled through your appointment or the secure patient platform.
